This blog entry is one big quote of the mailing sent out today by the Ardnahoe Team.

Dear friends,

We thought that now might be the time to give you an update on the tastings that Hunter Laing are hosting with Jim McEwan during this year’s Islay Festival.

As we announced last month, Jim will be holding the same tasting on two separate nights during the Festival. Jim rummaged around the Hunter Laing warehouses and selected six whiskies that are, in his opinion, among the finest casks of Islay whisky he has ever tasted. In addition to leading a tasting of the whiskies, Jim will be talking about his career to date, and of course discussing his future plans for Ardnahoe.

The same tasting will be held on two separate evenings – Tuesday 30th May, and Thursday 1st June. Although the whiskies tasted will be the same on each night, Hunter Laing decided to introduce a little variety to each occasion in the form of some “traditional” Scottish music.

On Tuesday 30th we’ll be joined by Robin Laing (no relation!) a singer –songwriter much beloved in Scotch Whisky circles.

On Thursday 1st, it’ll be the turn of Jessica May Fletcher, a young Ileach already gaining a fine reputation on the island as a singer of traditional ballads.

If you’re going to be on the island during the festival, each evening promises to be a different, but equally wonderful occasion. Follow this link to see more details, including the whiskies we’re tasting:

We’re going to be announcing a lot more exciting news about what we’re doing on Islay in the next couple of weeks, and as a newsletter subscriber you’ll be among the first to hear about it.

All the best until then,

 The Ardnahoe Team

End quote.

So, if on Islay during Feis Ile 2017, book your tasting soon!
